The Updated EYFS Through a PSED Lens: What It Means for Everyday Practice

Monday 10th August, 4pm-5pm (BST)

Join Viv Trask-Hall, Head of Theory and Practice at Thrive, alongside a specialist early years guest speaker, as they explore the updated EYFS framework through a PSED lens.

The updated EYFS framework strengthens expectations around safeguarding, welfare and children’s wellbeing.

While the learning and development requirements for Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED) have not changed, the updates are a useful prompt to look again at how children’s social and emotional development supports their learning, wellbeing and everyday experiences.

Join Viv Trask-Hall, Head of Theory and Practice at Thrive, alongside a specialist early years guest speaker, as they explore the updated framework through a PSED lens and consider what this means for everyday practice. Drawing on research, professional experience and the realities facing early years settings today, they'll explore how a deeper understanding of children's social and emotional development can support wellbeing, inclusion and engagement across your setting.

In this free webinar, you'll explore:

  • what is changing or being given greater emphasis in the updated framework

  • what the safeguarding and welfare updates may mean for children’s development, wellbeing and everyday experiences

  • why PSED remains an important foundation for learning

  • how relationships, routines and everyday interactions shape children’s development

  • what your team may want to look at more closely in practice
